About Us

Our Story

Founded in 2010, Opportunity Healthcare is more than a staffing agency; we are dedicated to elevating healthcare by connecting top facilities with exceptional Advanced Practice Providers. Over the years, we have successfully placed tens of thousands of APPs into great roles across the nation. Acting as your personal success agent, we are fully invested in your career aspirations. Have a specific facility or health system in mind? Share your vision, and we’ll leverage our connections to advocate for you and secure the job you desire. Your goals are our mission, and we’re here to help you reach your dream job.

Our Purpose

Empowering advanced practice providers with exclusive opportunities across the US, personalized support, lifelong relationships, & ensuring priority placements.

What we do, and what we do not do

Opportunity Healthcare places Advanced Practice Providers only: Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and Certified Nurse Midwives. We do not place physicians (MD or DO) or registered nurses. We fill both permanent and locum tenens roles, in every state, across primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, community health centers, and specialty clinics. Specialty names on our job search describe the setting an Advanced Practice Provider works in, not a physician role. We also run the job site HealthCenterCareers.com.

Common questions

No. We place Advanced Practice Providers only: Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and Certified Nurse Midwives.

Is HealthCenterCareers part of Opportunity Healthcare?
Yes. HealthCenterCareers.com is our job site for Advanced Practice Provider roles at community health centers.

The team behind Opportunity Healthcare

Dan Pollock, Founder and CEO

Dan founded Opportunity Healthcare in 2010 after a career leading staffing companies, including serving as CEO of Advantis Global and spending ten years as an executive at Modis. He started OHC with one conviction: Advanced Practice Providers deserve recruiters who specialize in their careers, not generalists who staff everyone. Dan Pollock on LinkedIn.

Our recruiting team

Every OHC recruiter is a full-time W-2 employee, not a contracted sourcer. Together the team carries more than 50 years of combined recruiting experience across 20 specialties, and each provider works with one dedicated recruiter from first call to first day.

What makes Opportunity Healthcare different

APPs only. Never physicians, never RNs.

Generalist locum tenens firms staff physicians and many other clinician types. We place only nurse practitioners, physician assistants, CRNAs, and certified nurse midwives. That focus means every recruiter here speaks your language and knows your market, which is how we have made tens of thousands of APP placements since 2010.

W-2 career recruiters, not quota-driven contractors

Every OHC recruiter is a full-time employee with a career here, not a 1099 contractor churning through requisitions. Our team brings 50+ years of combined experience across 20 specialties. You get one dedicated recruiter who knows your file, your goals, and your dealbreakers.

Your personal success agent

Have a specific facility or health system in mind? Tell us your vision and we will use our connections to advocate for you and open that door. We measure ourselves on whether you land the job you want, not on how fast we fill a slot.

Exclusive opportunities and priority placement

Because we work directly with facilities nationwide, our providers see roles that never reach the public job boards. We put our providers forward first, which means priority consideration instead of competing in a pile of applicants.

Free for providers. Always.

Providers never pay OHC a fee. The hiring facility pays us, so our only incentive is your placement. No placement fees, no hidden costs, no fine print.
