Opportunity Healthcare, a leading locums and placement firm, is at the forefront of “Connecting the Best in Healthcare.” We are currently facilitating the search for a dedicated Advanced Practitioner to help a compassionate healthcare facility near Monterey County, CA. 

  
Your New Role: 

Position: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) 

Job Duration: Full Time/Permanent 

Setting: Outpatient 

Schedule: 

4×10 hour shifts per week 

One Saturday per pay period 

3 days off per week 

Experience: 

New graduates welcome 

Must have a California license in hand 

Patient Population: 

Primarily infants to 18 years old, with some patients up to 21 years old 

Approximately 22-25 patients per day

Compensation: $166,920.00 – $220,750.40 per year, depending on experience 

CME: $3,000.00 per year

In this Role: 

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will provide comprehensive care to infant, child, or adolescent patients in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, screening for appropriate physical/mental development, administering immunizations, ordering tests or scans, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medicines, and outlining and monitoring courses of treatment. The role involves partnering with physicians to develop care plans, advising on patient status changes, assisting in chronic illness management, promoting health and wellness, performing school or extracurricular physical examinations, and ensuring accuracy of patient medical records. The practitioner will work under the supervision of a physician, using the Cerner EMR system, and will be part of a community-focused healthcare system known for its commitment to quality care and patient satisfaction.
